I have recently completed flourish on bull, which is located above my studio, in leafy, sunny Cooks Hill. The apartment is a unique, stunning, light filled luxury loft style apartment available for short term stays.
It is within easy walking distance of restaurants, cafes, parks, the foreshore, beaches, the CBD and the new University of Newcastle campus.
I sought to create a unique space to live, relax and sleep in, at the same time providing a haven for business travellers,
looking for Newcastle short stay accommodation. The apartment has all the necessary amenities for business travellers and those seeking a quiet interlude in Newcastle.
Whatever your needs, don't hesitate to call me regarding availability.

We are currently working on some exciting projects, including;
newcastle harbour residence (new build project)
My involvement with this new build came about when the clients, firstly required help with all the hard fixtures.
It became apparent that we meshed so well together, that our full proposal was accepted.
This involved specifications of hard finishes, such as a three level sand stone wall, sitting proudly beside the recycled blackbutt wooden staircase, creating a dramatic backdrop to the living areas, right through to specifying all furniture pieces and soft furnishings.
Engaging local industrial designers to incorporate certain elements, this build is very special and will be iconic on the Newcastle Harbour landscape.
fibonacci cafe warabrook
The exciting addition of Fibonacci Cafe to the Warabrook Shopping Centre involved initial discussions and concepts, through to full documentation.
With structural alterations to the space being completed by the centre management, the complete fitout will involve relevant trades, through to handover to the client.
projects we have just completed
The owners realised that there was a need in the market for a small music piano bar in Newcastle.
They found this business and decided to buy it. They needed to do a quick refit as it was already operational in the mornings and lunchtime and had a good trade, so they didn’t want to close down for too long.
We decided what elements needed to be changed.
Primarily the outdated terracotta tiles needed to go, so we changed these to a black and white mosaic art deco style pattern.
I decided to commission my artist to do a Metropolis style artwork on the back wall. We wanted to use the classic art deco colours of green, white and black, so within the artwork I chose 6 different shades of green and we used tonal colours within those colours, to create an oversized artwork.
We thought we would go with original dark wood Bentwood furniture to give it more of that classical look because a lot of the fittings already within the cafe were beautiful brass. I then commissioned my metal worker and wood worker to make custom sized tables because it is a small space and we needed to create a bar area, so we went for two levels of seating.
We realised that the outdoor area was under utilised, so I commissioned some custom tables for that area.
With the lighting, I have gone for completely art deco looking lights throughout, wall lights and pendants, and they look amazing.
To create an evening look I went for antique mirrored subway tiles for the columns within the restaurant, which really needed lifting.
A complete redesign was carried out in respect of the main counter and seating downstairs, including the bar area upstairs.
The concrete floor was polished downstairs, new bench seating designed and constructed and repainting of all surfaces. I commissioned a large 6 metre high forest scene mural for the entire wall on the left as you enter. Stunning Porters colours and paint were used.
This project involved the refurbishment of the dining area and main bar, incorporating new wall finishes, loose furniture, textiles and custom lighting.
An exciting wall and bar treatment involved the use of a 3 dimensional finish.
I commissioned stunning custom made light fittings for throughout the restaurant, which included a 6 metre high bronze light fitting at the front of the restaurant.
New bench seating included 4 half circle benches within the restaurant.
